SUBIC BAY FREEPORT – Ibinahagi ng provincial office ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) sa Zambales ang commitment nito na patuloy na suportahan ang local entrepreneurs sa probinsya kaugnay ng active involvement ng gobyerno sa regional development.
Ayon kay provincial director Enrique Tacbad, DTI officer-in-charge, naging posible ang accomplishments ng ahensya dahil sa suporta ng local goverment units (LGUs) at ng pribadong sektor.
“The DTI-Zambales is so proud and thankful to local governments and the private sector who work hand-in-hand with DTI in promoting the local products and services of Zambales, as well as, providing technical supports,” ani Tacbad.
Nitong Nobyembre, nagbigay ng administrative and technical assistance ang DTI-Zambales sa 3,447 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at nagsagawa rin ito ng 279 sales promotions para sa mga lokal na produkto.
Nakapag-isyu rin ang DTI-Zambales ng 7,198 new business names at 1,044 Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE), o mga negosyo na engaged sa production, processing at manufacturing ng mga produkto o commodity, at may hindi hihigit sa PHP3 million na capital investment.
“Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2019, there was also a significant increase of businesses that sell or buy using the internet,” dagdag pa ni Tacbad.
Sa ngayon, mayroon nang 2,282 registered e-businesses sa Zambales at Olongapo City.
Inilunsad din ng DTI-Zambales ang Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB) na nagbahagi ng livelihood kits sa 55 beneficiaries mula sa 11 barangays ng probinsya na nagkakahalaga ng PHP495,000. Ang bawat livelihood kit ay may kasamang food processing materials, sari-sari store and food and beverage, bamboo craft at vulcanizing package.
Nakapamahagi rin ang DTI-Zambales ng PHP4.07 million sa 588 beneficiaries sa ilalim ng programang “Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon ay Ginhawa.”
