Guide bill approved on second reading, to extend assistance to MSMEs 

Inaprubahan na sa second reading ng House of Representatives ang Government Financial Institutions (GFIs) United Initiatives to Distressed Enterprises for Economic Recovery (GUIDE) bill. 

Sa ilalim ng panukalang batas, P7.5 billion ang ilalaan sa Land Bank of the Philippines, P2.5 billion para sa Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), o kabuuan ng P10 billion para sa micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) na mangangailangan ng tulong para sa kanilang mga negosyo. 

Ito ay bukas din partikular sa mga MSMEs na naapektuhan ng COVID-19 pandemic. 

Bago ito aprubahan, nagmungkahi si Gabriela Rep. Arlene Brosas ng amendments tulad ng pagtanggal sa buong Chapter 3, kung saan tinalakay ang pagtatayo ng special holding company na siyang magiging investment vehicle. 

Ang panukalang batas na ito ay isinulat ni House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Ferdinand Alexander Marcos, at Tingog Reps. Yedda Marie Romualdez at Jude Acidre.
